AMA Racing today announced the appointment of Harv Whipple to the position of Series Manager for AMA Racing’s newly created Pro ATV Championship. 

The decibel limit for the 2007 racing season is 99-decibels.  While racing in ATVA-sanctioned events last year, pro riders were required to comply with a 102-decibel limit as measured using the Society of Automotive Engineers J-1287 test standard.

The Route Designation Workshop series is in full swing for 2007. Starting in February we held one in the lower part of Michigan then on to Nebraska . We had good turnouts especially in Nebraska with winter hitting hard. These workshops are filling a crucial gap in information on both the Agency side as well as the public sector and are an good investment in the future of OHV recreation.

The National Off-Highway Vehicle Conservation Council (NOHVCC), in cooperation with the Gunnison and Pike San Isabel National Forests, is conducting a Motorized Route Designation Workshop in April, 2007, for agency personnel and other stakeholders.
